About me

As an integrative counsellor / psychotherapist, I draw on a range of modalities in the conviction that there is no single correct way of doing therapy, there is only that which is useful. Key to my practice is the building of a supportive, non-judgemental environment in which you and I are able to build a mutually trusting relationship.

I am a qualified counsellor and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). This means I have met their strict criteria for qualified therapists and work in accordance with their ethical guidelines.

I have worked as a counsellor / psychotherapist since 2010 across the NHS, public, charity and most recently private sector, offering both individual and group therapy.

Alongside my private practice, I am a member of the Release Therapy for Women counselling team and a moderator of the PANDAS Foundation PND online support group.

Previous roles and areas of expertise include:

  • Working with survivors of domestic violence and childhood sexual abuse via community outreach and supported living

  • Facilitation of a day therapeutic community for NHS patients with a diagnosed personality disorder

  • Short term value based counselling (VBC) with migrants and refugees arriving in Germany

  • Short- and long- term individual integrative therapy (NHS / private)

  • Perinatal support: for new mothers experiencing perinatal illness, postnatal depression and / or PTSD following a negative birth experience

  • Trauma therapy, with a focus on EMDR intervention / alternative types of bilateral stimulation
